I tried Vietnamese food today and boy was it yummy! I had some type of Pho, with rare beef in it. It was very good. I’ve been wanting to stop by that shop for a long time now and finally I said I would today, and I was hungry too, so that worked. *laugh* But you know what? It’s all about trying new things!
I also want to try to get a bicycle this summer and go for bike rides. This would be new for me. Well, new since I was an adult. I haven’t done bike rides since I was a kid. I think it would be a good way to burn some extra calories, and we all know how important it is for me to do that! I think getting active will also help me sleep better, which will help with my bipolar moods (always a good thing).
I’m working on getting caught up on my schoolwork ever since that manic episode. So far, I’m making good progress. And I ordered my books for next term, which is already open for viewing. I am getting a little nervous about it because it’s basically the course I’m taking now, but on steroids, so if I ran into trouble taking this one, what’s going to happen taking the next one? Oh, boy. The good thing is that I still have a decent grade in this class, because the professor approved my late work ahead of time.
However, to help me get through this tough next class, and the full-time term after it, I am going to start mapping out my time throughout the day. When I get up, I will check my email and all that, and spend some time looking at what needs to be done that day as far as schoolwork. Then, I can write down what times I will do homework from and when I will eat my meals, and when I will take other breaks, so that I don’t get burned out. But this way I can keep myself accountable during the times I should be working on schoolwork. (And I can actually sit down during those times and do it!)
So these are some new things for me that I want to do, or have done, in the case of Vietnamese food. Try some of these things or make a list of your own “want to’s” and try to get as much of them done as possible – make them your goals!
