Homework & my Schedule

The first two plays we read in Shakespeare class were awesome. I loved Hamlet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream was funny! However, this final play that we are reading is going to be the death of me. We are reading Richard III. I just cannot understand the concepts of this person killing off that one to get the throne and then marrying that one even though it’s his cousin or niece or whatever she is. And then having to refer to each person by several different names? I am sooooo f***ing confused right now!

I am just going to try to get the information for my short paper this week from the internet and forgo trying to read the play because it is nothing but frustrating and I am literally in tears at the thought of reading it again.

As for when I am going to do that, I have a new weekday schedule that I am trying to implement. I want to use my time during the day as best I can and get things done. So I have created a schedule that has me getting up at 7 when hubby does and schedules time for homework, blogging, reading, writing, and more. Now I just need to get into the habit of getting up at 7 every day. So far I have made it to getting up at noon, which is a little better than getting up at 3 in the afternoon but a far cry from 7 in the morning! I’ll get there… eventually…

Aaaak! Where’s My Money!

So we spent a TON of money today. Some of it was spent on stuff we didn’t necessarily want to buy, but we had to, and some of it was fun stuff.

The first stop was the fuel company to set up our budget program and make our first of eleven monthly installment payments on the heating oil we will use over the 2014-15 winter. EXPENSIVE! BUT, it beats freezing our butts off in a snowbank SO, it gets paid.

Then, we’re off to the pharmacy. I feel like I am here every week. Oh wait! I am! *laugh* We bought lunch while we were here. (Did I mention my pharmacy is in a grocery store? Not okay for the waistline when I’m waiting for prescriptions to be filled! ALL THAT FOOD!)

BURLINGTON TIME! The main reason for the trip all the way down there is because I needed to pick up a copy of Shakespeare’s Antony and Cleopatra for my final project and the local used bookstore didn’t have it. The closest Barnes & Noble’s is (you guessed it) in BURLINGTON! We looked at a lot of books while there, as I don’t get to go very often. Hubby keeps a tight leash when it comes to bookstores and I can’t for the life of me figure out why. 😀 I wanted to buy The Witch’s Daughter as well as an Orwell book I hadn’t heard of before. Hubby picked up the Orwell book. I also wanted Life of Pi (the book) but I had to put all those down. We ended up getting the book we came for as well as Animal Farm and 1984 (hardback together). YAY! I got books. *warm fuzzy feeling*

Then we went to walk around Best Buy and we drooled over some things that we couldn’t afford – like the MacBook Pro I want. We went over to the movie theater to see what was playing but didn’t feel like seeing any of them so we got back in the car.

Then it was time to EAT! We went to Moe’s. It was good. We each got a Homewrecker burrito, which is huge. I didn’t finish mine. I guess that’s lunch for tomorrow.

One more stop… the pet store next door. Kasey needed a new tag for her collar so we got one engraved while we were in the area since there are no pet shops around where we live.

Oh, and at some point in all that, we stopped to get stamps at the Post Office. I’m not going to try to figure out when that was. *laugh*

But Holy Crap-ola, Batman! We spent a lot of money. (I forgot to mention the tank of gas, too. Oops!) I think I’m broke now!!!

I think I am going to go read my Shakespeare for school, and when I am done, I am going to start with Animal Farm. I haven’t read that in ages. And I’ve never read 1984. I can’t wait to!

Wherefore Art Thou, Shakespeare?

Once again, it’s been a while since I’ve written. Sorry about that. School has kept me busy, and then I got rather sick. So sick, in fact, that I’m behind in school and trying to catch up.

It’s Week 5 (of 8 weeks) of my Shakespeare class and we’ve just finished reading A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It was fun, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I enjoyed Hamlet. This week we are starting to read Richard III. I don’t think I am going to like this one, but it may surprise me, who knows.

All I know is that I am getting really tired of school and I can’t wait for it to be over soon. One more class after this – that’s all I need.

I am just glad I’m getting over whatever stomach virus had a hold on me for nearly a week. I had lost 10 pounds before it was over! I had to go to the urgent care to get a shot to keep me from throwing up, and then the next night I was in the ER throwing up again and they gave me another shot plus stuff to take home and a prescription so I wouldn’t have to come back unless it got seriously bad. With the meds, which dissolved under my tongue, I was able to start drinking and eating in small amounts again. I was on the B.R.A.T. diet for a while. That stands for Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast. I still haven’t been able to sit down to a full meal but maybe tomorrow.

Anyway, I hope everyone has been well while I’ve been away. It’s time for me to get to work on some homework on this dreary, thunderstorm-y day.
